Rajendra (Rajesh) V. Shah was born in Dabhoi, India, a country with traditions so very dear to his heart. Rajesh was a kind, gentle, and loving husband, father, and brother. Rajesh dedicated his life to his three children and wife. His love for his family and friends was constant and unconditional. He enjoyed sharing stories about life and would happily talk to anyone and everyone. Rajesh was a man of high moral and ethical character and lived his life as such. Never a negative thought entered his mind or escaped his lips, Rajesh truly believed all people were inherently good. Rajesh always considered the needs of others before himself and truly embodied the concept of selflessness. He was very spiritual with his Hindu/Gayatri faith and maximized his available time to pursue selfless acts, spiritual knowledge, and inner peace. His connection with the Gayatri Chetna Center was as strong as the love that everyone had for him. Rajesh also held dearly his cultural and family values from his native India, preserving and celebrating those values for the 45 years he lived in the U.S. In his educational and career pursuits, Rajesh earned his MBA after arriving in the United States and worked as an accountant. His most fulfilling experiences were during his time at Jaguar/Ford Motor Company in Mahwah, NJ. Rajesh died unexpectedly June 1, 2016 at Orange Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his wife Rita Rajendra Shah at home; his son Anish Rajendra Shah of Middletown, 2 daughters Avani Rajendra wife of Bryan Champagne, of New Haven, CT; and Amy Rajendra Shah, of New Haven, CT; and his brother Rohit Vallabhdas,and his wife Swati, of Edison, NJ. Friends are invited to call 8:30 AM on Saturday, June 4th at Morse Funeral Home Inc., 33 Railroad Ave.,Middletown, NY with funeral services being held 9:30 AM. Cremation will follow in Oxford Hills Crematory, Chester, NY In lieu of flowers, and in memory of dear Rajesh, we request that you make a donation to AIM (All India Movement) for SEVA, an organization that Rajesh was passionate about.
