James H. "Harvey" Jenne

James “Harvey” Jenne passed away on July 24th, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. The son of the late Cleve H. and Gertrude Sibley Jenne, he was born in the Old VanDuzee hospital in Gouverneur, NY on June 4th, 1931. He was married to the love of his life, Etta May Corbine Jenne, who passed away three weeks ago, on June 28th, 2015. Harvey was a retired inspector in Quality Control from Ford Motor Company in Mahwah, NJ. He also retired from the Middletown Psychiatric Center. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 1097 in Middletown, NY, CSEA, NRA, and U.A.W. A family statement reads “Dad believed strongly in American made, Union made and he was very proud of his ancestry, leading back to his ancestors who landed on Plymouth Rock one year after the Mayflower on the ship, “The Little James,” and whom had the first grist mill in the new world. He loved to spend time chatting with anyone who would stop by the house to visit for a while, and spending time with his kids and grandkids. The memories made with him, fishing and camping, and spending any time with him, listening to the stories of his life, will be cherished always. Above all, he loved his wife, Etta, whom he spent 54 wonderful years with. He touched the lives of more people than he realized. We are broken hearted to lose him, though we know he went to be reunited with the love of his life.” He is survived by his sons, James Jenne and wife Priscilla of Messena, NY, David Jenne and wife Janice Sivillo of Monroe, NY , daughters Karen Casciaro and husband Danny of Virginia, Mary Todd and husband Robert of Newburgh, NY, Linda Soto and husband Pedro of Middletown, NY, Vicki Harrington of Yankee Lake, NY, grandchildren Tony Soto, Aaron Jenne, Sara Ashley, Kayla and Kyle DiChiaro, Kara and Emma Jenne, Marcy, Michael, and Cory Casciaro, and great grandchildren Nicholas Soto, Ezra Ashley, and Cassandra and Michael Zeffiro and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and loving wife, Harvey was predeceased by sons Bruce Jenne, Donald Jenne, Rev. Lawrence Andrews, daughter Victoria Jenne, son in law Steve Harrington, and brother Oscar Jenne. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Harvey’s name to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for esophageal cancer research, or in the Jenne family name to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan County. Services will be private. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Morse Funeral Home, Inc. Middletown, NY.
