Judith "Judy" A Moore

Judith A Moore, 75, affectionately known as Judy, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, April 22nd, 2024, surrounded by her family. Judy was a beloved mother, Aunt, and Grandmother. She will be remembered for her “AMAZING", sassy, loving, kind, and funny personality. Judy was quick witted and always good for a joke. She always had a smile on her face and could make you laugh. She was also a nurturing soul, willing to lend a listening ear, a comforting word, or share an inspiring story. An avid crafter, Judy enjoyed doing all sorts of projects from stamping, scrapbooking, and card making to junk journals. She shared her love of crafting with others. Judy also had a love of food, especially chocolate, and she took joy in cooking. Judy and her daughter, Dana had a special relationship that can best be described by the song, “You and Me Against the World", by Helen Reddy. Judy also had a special bond with her grandsons’ and was known to them as Gammy. Gammy was their number one fan, cheering them on and supporting them in all of their endeavors. Judy adored her son-in-law, Kevin, and cherished their one-of-a-kind relationship. Judy was born on 10/8/1948, in Burlington, VT. As a child, she and her family moved to Mt. Ivy, NY. Judy graduated from Spring Valley High School and then attended Orange County Community College. Judy moved to Pine Bush, NY in 1971 and has resided there for the past 53 years. Judy spent her career in Insurance as a Commercial Lines Account Manager. She also worked as a waitress at a local restaurant. In both jobs, it was the opportunity to talk with customers, that she really enjoyed the most. Judy’s memories will be cherished and kept alive by her daughter, Dana Plummer, son-in-law, Kevin Plummer, her two grandsons, Devin and Dylan Moore, niece, Kathy (Allen) Pisani, great niece, Kailey, and her fur baby, Max. She also leaves behind Maeve Edmunds. Judy is predeceased by her parents, Adrian and Florence McCarthy, sister, Jeannette Antelo, and partner, Joseph Edmunds. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan 800 Stony Brook Ct, Newburgh, NY 12550.
