Lavadia M. Theadore

Lavadia M. Theadore, of Middletown, NY, passed away Tuesday, May 5th, at New York Presbyterian Hospital, She was 72 Lavadia was born in Suffern, New York on May 25, 1942, a daughter of the late James and Anna Blankenship Garrison. She was a retired Executive Administrative Assistant to the CEO at Orange Regional Medical Center; Middletown., Lavadia served as a director for the Grand Jurors Association of Orange county, was a 43 year member of the Circleville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as president, secretary and chaplain, she was District Secretary for Bullville Fire District and secretary for the Catskill Fire Cats. Lavadia was an avid reader of books and newspapers. She would always do crossword puzzles in pen. She loved to crochet and would always have a blanket available for a new baby or a friend. She married her best friend and love of her life Fred (after meeting him on a blind date) on March 17, 1962. Together for 53 years they loved to travel, show their antique fire trucks, attend social events and remain active in their organizations. Lavadia had a joy of life, a big smile, and a warm and caring heart for everyone she met. She would always take the time to talk to everybody and learn as much as she could about them. She is survived by her husband Fred Theadore at home, her son Fred Theadore Jr. and his wife Sally of Selkirk; her daughter Kristine Wares, of Middletown; grandson Michael Wares, of Middletown; granddaughters Rebecca Theadore and Lauren Theadore of Selkirk; her brother James Garrison and his wife Bonnie of St Augustine Beach, FL; her sister Linda Garrison-Webster, of Colorado Springs, CO; brother in law Sal Alaimo, of Kissimmee, FL. and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Dianna Alaimo Friends are invited to call on Friday May 8 from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM at Morse Funeral Home Inc, 33 Railroad Ave, Middletown, NY Funeral services will be Saturday May 9th at Morse Funeral Home Inc., Middletown, NY, at 10 AM with Pastor Paul Gordon officiating.
