Mrs. Anastasia Stacia Kelley

After a brief yet difficult struggle, Stacia slipped away to be reunited in heaven with her devoted husband of 55 years, Eugene, and their two children Dennis Eugene and Kathleen Alice. The third daughter of Polish immigrants, Anelka Fila Pirog and Anthony Pirog, Stacia was born in Lakewood, NJ. The family then moved to Rome, NY until relocating to Pine Bush, NY where they purchased a farm and would remain lifetime members of the community. Stacia left home to attend beauty school in Passaic, NJ where she graduated and became a licensed beautician. Upon returning home she opened the very first beauty salon, "Stacias" on Main Street. Stacias Salon would become the "House of Beauty", serving her clients for over 40 years. As owner/operator Stacia formed long standing friendships and became a pillar within the community. She even sponsored a bowling team naming them "Stacias Cut-ups".Stacia was very active within the community. She was a lifelong member and historian for the American Legion Auxillary of the G. Paul Bettinger Post as well as the Eugene L. Kelley Memorial Post 1937 Catholic War Veterans of America. Stacia was also a former member of the Rosary Alter Society at the Infant Savior Church, as well as the Red Cross, Pine Bush and Walker Valley Seniors, and the Red Hat Society. Stacia had a wide circle of friends and was loved by many, she will be sadly missed and always remembered by those she leaves behind. Stacia was predeceased by four sisters, Agnes Pirog, Sophie Pirog Stueber, Genevieve Pirog Derry, Johanna Pirog Youngs as well as one brother Eugene Pirog and two sisters in law, Renee Bettinger Pirog and Nonnie Coffin Pirog. Stacia is survived by two brothers, Louis Pirog of Colorado and Frederick Pirog of Pine Bush, as well as many nieces, nephew, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, one great, great , great niece and two great, great, great nephews. Stacia loved the word "great" and took tremendous pride in her family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Eugene L.
