Jerónimo Mendoza Vargas

Jerónimo, conocido con mucho cariño por muchas personas como “Don Jerónimo”, nació en 1957 en Tacámbaro, en el estado de Michoacán en México. Jerónimo fue un hombre de profunda fe. Su fe cristiana la expresó en su gran amor a Dios, a los sacramentos y a la Iglesia Católica. Jerónimo vivió de manera perseverante su vocación matrimonial junto a su esposa Alma Pedraza. Junto a ella dio un fuerte testimonio de discipulado en su vida matrimonial por casi 45 años. Jerónimo y su esposa Alma recibieron la bendición de ser padres de +Pablo Sergio, Alma Berenice, Erika Nathaly, Gabriela y Paulo Sergio. Jerónimo también fue bendecido al ser abuelo de Erick, Jose Juan, Gioanna, Stephanie y Sophia. Durante toda su vida fue siempre una fuente de amor y servicio para toda su familia y amigos. Cómo hombre de fe y de servicio a la Iglesia, Jerónimo descubrió su amor por la Renovación Carismática Católica. Tenía un fuerte deseo de conocer y estudiar su fe. Jerónimo participó por muchos años de grupos de oración y retiros espirituales. Amaba la adoración Eucarística, el Santo Rosario, participar como lector en la Santa Misa e impartir instrucciones de catequesis para el Bautismo. Jerónimo entro a la paz del Señor rodeado de su familia el día Viernes 30 de Agosto de 2024. Servicios Funerarios: La visitación en la funeraria será el Domingo 1 de Septiembre de 4 pm a 8 pm. La Santa Misa de Funeral será el día Lunes 2 de Septiembre a las 11 am en la Iglesia de San Jose (149 Cottage St., Middletown, NY 10940). His Christian faith was expressed in his strong love for God, for the sacraments and for the Catholic Church. Jerónimo perseveringly lived his marriage vocation with his wife Alma Pedraza. Together with his wife, he gave a strong witness of discipleship in his married life for almost 45 years. Jerónimo and his wife Alma received the blessing of being the parents of +Pablo Sergio, Alma Berenice, Erika Nathaly, Gabriela and Paulo Sergio. Jerónimo was also blessed to be the grandfather of Erick, Jose Juan, Gioanna, Stephanie and Sophia. Throughout his life he was always a source of love and commitment to all his family and friends. As a man of faith and service to the Church, Jerónimo discovered his love for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal. He had a strong desire to know and study his faith. Jerónimo participated for many years in prayer groups and spiritual retreats. He loved Eucharistic adoration, the Holy Rosary, participating as a lector in Holy Mass and giving catechetical instructions for Baptism. Jerónimo entered into the peace of the Lord surrounded by his family on Friday, August 30, 2024. Funeral Services: Visitation at the funeral home will be on Sunday, September 1st from 4 pm to 8 pm. The Holy Funeral Mass will be on Monday, September 2nd at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church (149 Cottage St., Middletown, NY 10940).
