Lynn R. Williams

Lynn Williams of Middletown, NY passed away peacefully at Park Manor Rehabilitation. She was the widow of Wilson (Bill) Williams. They shared more than 42 years together. Born in Blauvelt, NY, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Rita Richardson. In 1947 her family moved from Nyack to Middletown, NY and it’s here she graduated from high school and held one of her first jobs as a cashier for Lloyd’s Supermarket. Married in 1960, together with her husband she raised five daughters. After her daughters were all in school, she began her career as a bookkeeper and tax preparer with James Rich Inc. She continued there until she and Bill retired, purchased their motorhome and began to travel the country. In 1996 they made Oak Hill, Fl their home base but continued to travel in their new motorhome to places too numerous to list. Along with her love of travel by land and sea, earlier in life she enjoyed being a part of the Middletown Lanes Monday night women’s bowling league and was happy to see that a granddaughter became a part of the same league years later. While traveling out west, Lynn and Bill could often be found at a casino or two either at the slots or in the bingo hall. This was another fond pursuit which she shared with her mother, sister and later with her daughter and son-in-law while in Florida. But of course, those who knew Lynn, knew of her passion for reading. She would often volunteer at her local library in Florida. She is survived by her sister Jean Allee and her husband Rod, her daughters Kim Williams, Cindy Sivillo and her husband Bill, Michele Ray, Karen Guattery and her husband Andy. Lynn is also survived by her grandchildren, Wendy Della Pia, Leslie Lagala, Jim and Katy Sivillo, Eric Shelley, Alison Smith and Meghan and Angela Guattery as well as her two great grandchildren Zach Smith and Kaiya Lagala. Along with her husband and parents, Lynn was predeceased by her sister Ann and brother-in-law Ed Cummings, daughter Laurie Reisinger and son-in-law Jim Ray. A memorial service will be held on April 15th, 4-6pm at Martinez-Morse Funeral Home, 33 Railroad Avenue, Middletown, for all her family and friends. At this time, we will also be remembering our father who has been gone from us for 20 years.
