Michael Eger, a beloved son, father, and friend, passed away on July 17, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Born on July 15, 1967, Michael lived a life filled with passion, adventure, and an unyielding commitment to his loved ones. Michael pursued his education and graduated from landscaping and culinary school, earning a two-year associate's degree. He utilized his skills and creativity to bring beauty to the world around him, whether through designing landscapes or preparing delicious meals that delighted the senses. His dedication and talent were evident in every project he undertook. Nature was Michael's sanctuary, and he found solace in the great outdoors. He had a deep appreciation for the serenity of nature, often spending his time hunting, fishing, and exploring the beauty of the wilderness. A true adventurer at heart, he also found joy in riding and admiring motorcycles, embracing the freedom of the open road. Above all, Michael cherished his role as a father. Survived by his two sons, Mitchell and William, he showered them with love, guidance, and unwavering support. He was their rock, always ready to lend an ear, offer sage advice, or share a joke to brighten their day. His dedication and selflessness knew no bounds, and he would move mountains to ensure the happiness and well-being of his family. Those who knew Michael will best remember him as a wise guy with a quick wit, always ready to inject humor into any situation. Yet, beneath his playful demeanor, he possessed a heart overflowing with compassion. He cared deeply for his family and friends, extending a helping hand whenever needed. His kindness and empathy touched the lives of many and created lasting bonds. Michael's time on this earth may have been shorter than expected, but he lived each day to the fullest. His spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him, reminding them to embrace life's adventures, cherish loved ones, and find joy in the simplest of moments. In addition to his sons, Mitchell and William, Michael is survived by his mother, Linda, who loved him dearly. Together, they will carry his memory in their hearts, forever grateful for the profound impact he had on their lives. A celebration of Michael Eger's life will be held on Friday, July 21st at Martinez-Morse Funeral Home, 33 Railroad Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. The graveside service will take place the following morning, July 22nd, at 11:00AM at Hillside Cemetery in Middletown. Family and friends are invited to gather and share their fondest memories of a man who brought light and laughter to their lives.
